Peer Editing

Peer editing is a great way to hold students accountable for making progress in their writing assignments and give feedback to students on their progress. Before beginning peer editing, I always explain how the peer editing process should work and provide a checklist for students to complete as they review each other’s papers. I typically will set a rough draft deadline a few days before the final due date and have students swap papers (files) at this time so they have enough time to make corrections before they turn in their final draft to me.
